I will be starting Round II of PiYo on July 7, 2014 and would like to get as many of my friends to join me to help keep me accountable & you motivated as we reach our goals TOGETHER.

I grew up in California. A lot of people there were into Yoga. I mistakingly thought Yoga was for older women and/or hippies. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I was first introduced to Yoga when I began my journey with P90X back in February 2012. I fell in love with it. My muscles and whole body was so sore from the intense 45-60 minute workouts, I had been enduring, so having the break from the intense workouts was nice and it felt so good to stretch my muscles. As the weeks went by, I could tell that my balance had gotten better which improved my workouts. I also noticed that I was more flexible. I could touch my toes and move easier. I was sold on Yoga! 

I did my first Pilates video when I started P90X3 in January of this year. I liked it, but wasn’t sold on it like  Yoga. I had a hard time getting my breathing and movements in sync, but I knew overtime I’d get better. 

It wasn’t until I attended the 2013 Success Club Leadership Retreat in Dana Point, CA that I was introduced to PiYo. I remember watching the petite, classy Chalene Johnson walk towards the stage in her I swear 10″ heels. She has this vibe, this charisma, this elegance about her. If you follow her or have ever watched her videos, you will see that she is just this spunky, honest, genuine person. Her workouts and talent and ability and strength and body are AMAZING. However, being the person I am – not a dancer, poor coordination, not really into cardio, her programs never really spoke to me directly, although I have several of my challengers and coach’s who LOVE her programs because it fits their needs and likes. But the moment she started the workout (PiYo) at Leadership, that brisk September morning I was in LOVE!  I told my fellow coach’s “OMG! That was awesome! It’s like Yoga on Steroids!” I asked around to see if there was a video available. If so, I wanted it. And I knew one of my best friends’ Jenny would love it too. It never even dawned on me that this would be the next new released program coming out. And little did I know that this would change my life forever.

Anyone who knows me, know that I am not a very ANIMATED person. When I get excited, the only way you can really tell is because I talk EVEN FASTER. 


But on Monday March 31, 2014, I became more enthusiastic than I ever have! I screamed so loud in pure EXCITEMENT that I scared the shit outta Ryan who was sitting beside me on the couch. 


I received this email from Matthew Beachbody notifying me that I had been selected to be a member of the Test Group for Chalene Johnson’s newest program PiYo Workout that will be released at Team Beachbody Summit at the end of June! This is HUGE for me! Why? Because after 25 month of LOYALTY to Beachbody I finally get my chance to REALLY represent them and it’s such an honor. I have been on cloud 9 since then. 




Since then, I feel like I can take on the world. 


I have coordinated with Melissa McAllister and arranged a PiYo Certification here in MY sleepy little town of Brenham, TX. So watch out Washington County YET ANOTHER Beachbody celebrity will be coming to town. First Richard Neal, then Danielle Katz and our previous Regional Sales Manager, now Melissa. And I have added to my long term goal list: PiYo Master Trainer. 




To be honest, the only thing that freaked me out about being part of the Test Group was the fact that I’d really need to abstain from alcohol, namely BEER (1 of my true loves) for 60 days if I wanted GREAT results. The fact that this was my only concern clued me in on the fact that I need to work on changing my codependent relationship with booze. So I decided to completely cut it out. As of today, (day 17) April 23, 2014, I am BEER FREE. I did have 1 glass of champagne on our 5th anniversary, but that’s it. Now it’s kind of a game now to challenge myself because I believe that this is how you grow and how you strengthen your will power! I am tracking each day, so that I have to hold myself accountable and so that I can be proud of myself, with this calendar. 




The  PiYo Coach Test Group  kicked off on Monday, April 7th. 


I cannot reveal many details at this point besides these facts:


 – It is a 60 day program

 – It will include 8 workouts
 – The workout times vary from 20-45 minutes
 – Just like every other Beachbody program, it will come with a schedule to follow, so that you know which day to do what disc on, which will provide you with a TOTAL body workout, without overworking or injuring yourself.
 – Just like every other Beachbody program, it will come with a meal plan to follow, which will help sustain your energy, meet your nutritional needs, improve your relationship with food and help you lose weight and get the results without starvation being involved. 
 – This is a program that does NOT require any extra equipment other than a towel or Yoga mat to protect your knees/tailbone.
 – You can do the entire workout barefoot.
 – There is no jumping involved.
 – This program is great for people at any fitness level, including those who have sustained an injury and wish to ease back into a fitness routine. It is also GREAT for athletes who train hard, and need to work on balance and flexibly, but have a hard time sitting still long enough to complete a Pilates or Yoga workout. 

Even pregnant people could do this!



 – This is perfect for people who love Pilates and Yoga and would love to see a hybrid version. 

 – Just like any other Beachbody program, you start off slow, build a base, get familiar with the workouts and the movements and increase your strength before the workouts heat up. 
 – Just like any other Beachbody program, the trainer (Chalene) walks you thru every move, teaching you proper form, while encouraging you to keep going and push yourself to maximize your results. 






All I can say is, if you want QUICK results, but hate intense workouts or don’t have a lot of time (or patience for long workouts or programs), PiYo is gonna CHANGE your life. 


This program is going to be another BEST seller. It is going to sell out QUICKLY just like the 21 Day Fix did. 


Here are a few ah-ha moments that have really hit home that have changed my life that I want to share with you.

I feel that this knowledge and connecting the dots will help everyone (if you implement it). I have been following the nutrition plan 110%. Why? Because I want results. Why? Because I don’t want to screw up, this once in a lifetime opportunity that I have, to represent this company that I love and feel like I owe my life to. Because I trust the program. Because I want to be able to show others that they can get the results. I have been guilty of “just eating healthy” and letting myself get sidetracked and not planning my meals out ahead of time. While eating healthy is better than eating processed, high in sugar and fat or fast foods, it isn’t the same as MAINTAINING A HEALTHY, BALANCED DIET” that supports energy and produces results. I knew this, but had never really fully implemented following a programs FULL meal plan and guidelines 100%, to a T for more than 3-4 consecutive days. I let life get in the way just like the majority of people on their health and fitness journey. I made excuses why my body and my workouts didn’t reflect the things they should’ve. I convinced myself that I’d never have nice abs or even close to a flat stomach after having 3 kids and dropping weight so fast. I in fact, had decided less than a week before being notified that I was selected to be part of the Test Group, that I would consult my plastic surgeon and schedule surgery for October to remove my excess skin/stretch marru every move, teaching you proper form, while encouraging you to keep going and push yourself to maximize your results.

Call it fate, but what I have realized, through my dedication and commitment to doing this RIGHT, which yielded results, just saved me thousands of dollars and weeks of pain and downtime. In less than 2 weeks, I lost SEVERAL inches off my waist, BUT this time it’s different. There’s not a ton of extra skin. My skin is tightening up and no longer loose. It no longer feels like the consistency of one of those “stress balls”. I can bend over and not have my skin hang down. I can lay on my side and not feel my skin flop over on the bed. I can wear a tight fitting shirt and not see two rolls of skin. Want to know the secret? It is NO secret. Follow the meal plan and commit to following the schedule IN ORDER and without skipping a day here and there and above all TRUST the program!

Once I really thought about it, it all clicked! It all made sense! I now have an answer to so many people, including myself problem with not being able to get through their workouts, not having any energy, never feeling satisfied, feeling like a slave to their cravings, not liking working out, never following the workout schedule, never sticking to any program to see it through to completion and never seeing results.

Now, I ask you this: Are you tired of not being able to make it through a full workout? Are you tired of having no energy? Are you tired of being a slave to your cravings? Are you tired of feeling like you gave it your all and wasted tons of time and energy just to see little to no results at all? Mamas are you tired of seeing that bulge of excess skin that resulted from your pregnancy(ies)? Do you feel hopeless and like you will always be stuck with that extra skin that is so unsightly, around your midsection?  If so, then is it worth your while to suck it up, make some sacrifices, use some self control to get some results??



Since I started, Ryan has been my biggest fan and supporter and has been WOW-ed more than anyone. 

Fun, random fact: Ryan is a cuddler. Before we got together, I was NOT a cuddler. NOT even close. I wasn’t a hugger & avoided human contact. Over the past 8 years, he’s turned me into a cuddler. 

(maybe) TMI: Every night I lay on my right side, facing the wall & he cuddles up to me & that’s how we fall asleep. 

Confession: As much as I love to be cuddled up to him, I’ve always hated it for the 1 fact that I can always feel my skin flop over and rest on the bed. Since I had my 1st child, Haylie in 1999, I have HATED the excess skin that came from gaining almost 50 lbs. then losing 35 of it within 6 weeks, which got worse with each subsequent pregnancy, even though I didn’t gain nearly as much weight as the first time, but lost almost all of it within the first 6-8 weeks postpartum.

It’s been DEPRESSING over the past 2 years, because I can feel my muscles forming into a 6 pack, but cannot see it because all of the skin! I’ve even looked into surgery just to have the extra skin & stretch marks that came from losing weight, not gaining it completely removed. But the thought of surgery and the downtime associated with it and the scarring has prevented me from going through with it.

Last week as we got into position to cuddle up for the night, Ryan said “Wow! Your stomach feels a lot flatter!”. Then the morning, He grabbed me around the waist & said “I really noticed that your waist is A LOT smaller.. A LOT smaller than it’s ever been!” He’s grabbed me, smacked my ass, and made comments on how great I look and how proud of me he is. This means more to me than anything. I don’t care what anyone else thinks. His opinion matters most. Because of this, I came to another realization, that I share in this video.
