Here’s a story that really touches my heart because it’s so similar to mine!

I debated sharing this story because it’s pretty personal, but i believe it could help encourage others, so what the heck…here it goes. 

Before I begin, I believe that everyone should love their body as it is. I am a “pro love your self” advocate and I am in no way putting anyone down. That said, for me personally, being unhealthy and not feeling good in my own body was NOT loving myself.

Five or six years ago I was in a pretty dark place. I was depressed, not confident and displaced. Losing David and Jennifer (my brother and sister), dealing with postpartum depression, having difficulties in my first marriage, having a miscarriage and getting a divorce, left me pretty dang empty. I was 128 to 130 pounds which is big for me @ 5’2″. I ate my sorrows away,drank too much beer and got NO exercise.
I lost a bunch of weight when I moved back to Lake County and for the most part have kept the bulk off, but seem to fluctuate that annoying 10 pounds depending on the season. I was tired all of the time and when the kids asked me to do something with them I didn’t have the energy.

One week ago I decided that there were no more excuses. I didn’t have that much to lose, but I was tired of feeling blah, and not fitting comfortably in my clothes. March 7, 2014 UPDATE

I officially started the program on Monday, then we left Texas to head to Oregon on a road trip and even traveling, I have been able to follow the meal plan. I counsel all of my challengers to ONLY weigh in ONCE a week and to NOT get caught up and fixated on what the scale reads. I encourage everyone to weigh in & do their measurements on STATurday. Here are some of the reports from today.
